On December 15, 2023, Director of the Department of Archives and Records Management O.L. Voinov visited the Belarusian State Archive of Film, Photo, and Sound Documents
December 15, 2023 to provide assistance and as part of monitoring the progress of work at the facility «Major repairs with elements of modernization of internal engineering systems and floor-by-floor finishing in the building of the institution «Belarusian State Archive of Film, Photo and Sound Documents» on the street. Fominykh, 1 in Dzerzhinsk» Director of the Department for Archives and Records Management of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Belarus O.L.Voinov visited the institution «Belarusian State Archive of Film, Photo and Sound Documents».
O.L.Voinov discussed with representatives of the general contracting, engineering and design organizations the progress of construction and the problematic issues that arose, for the elimination of which appropriate instructions were given to the construction participants. The Director of the Department pointed out the need for unconditional use of funds, prompt resolution of emerging issues by the design organization and ensuring the contractor maintains the pace of construction while maintaining the quality of work.
O.L.Voinov heard a report from the director of the archive, A.N.Gonchar, on the archive’s fulfillment of the target indicators of the «Archives of Belarus» subprogram of the State Program «Culture of Belarus» for the reception, digitization of documents and the organization of exhibition projects, as well as the disbursement of funds in 2023, allocated for current and capital expenses
At the end, O.L. Voinov was shown an editing viewing table, purchased by the archive in December 2023 as part of the implementation of event 52 of the subprogram «Digital Development of Public Administration» of the State Program «Digital Development of Belarus», which allows viewing copies of film documents on 16 and 35 mm audition tapes, including all types of film documentaries, as well as original screening copies, which was previously not possible. The Director of the Department gave instructions for the further acquisition of modern equipment by the archive.
