The National Historical Archive of Belarus has prepared and posted on the archive’s website a virtual exhibition «The fight against manifestations of corruption on Belarusian lands in the 19th and early 20th centuries (based on materials from the National Historical Archive of Belarus)». It includes documents for 1829-1913, which contain many examples of corruption in the administrative apparatus of the Minsk, Vitebsk and Mogilev provinces. Bribery predominated among the offenses. The presented documents highlight the measures taken by provincial authorities to investigate and prevent corruption.

The identification and selection of material on this topic was carried out by leading researchers of the Research Institute of Belarus Aksana Zenko, Vladimir Denisov and deputy head of the department of research and publication activities of the Research Institute of Belarus Evgeniy Glinsky.
