Seminar on the preparation of electronic documents for transfer to permanent storage for employees of regional and zonal archives of the Brest, Grodno, Minsk and Mogilev regions

On November 17, 2023, on the basis of the National Archives of the Republic of Belarus (NARB), a seminar was held on issues of working with documents in electronic form, including electronic documents, and their preparation for transfer for permanent storage for employees of the regional and zonal archives of Brest, Grodno, Minsk and Mogilev regions.

The seminar was organized by NARB and the Belarusian Research Center for Electronic Documentation (BelNITsED).

The main goal of the professional meeting of archivists is to exchange experience and develop joint ways and means of solving problematic issues that arise in the field of working with documents in electronic form, including electronic documents, in organizations that are sources of acquisition of state archives.

NARB Director A.K.Demyanuk addressed the seminar participants with a welcoming speech.

The participants were addressed by the head of the department of records management and formation of the National Archival Fund of NARB T.A.Shevchenko, deputy director of BelNITsED L.N.Signevich, deputy director of NARB E.A.Stukanova.

The seminar was organized in the form of a dialogue: after brief presentations by the lecturers, employees of regional and zonal archives asked questions and talked about the problems they face in working with acquisition sources on the creation, execution, electronic documents, the formation of electronic files, the preparation of electronic documents for permanent transfer storage.

The exchange of experience and knowledge acquired during the seminar will help archivists increase the efficiency of working with acquisition sources in preparing electronic documents for transfer to permanent storage.
