On November 3, 2023, as part of the “Archives to School” campaign and on the eve of the Day of the Great October Socialist Revolution, an excursion was organized for students of secondary school No. 40 in Minsk at the Belarusian State Archive of Scientific and Technical Documentation.

The excursionists got acquainted with the history of the Belarusian State Archive of Scientific and Technical Documentation, its structure, areas of activity, and document search capabilities. We learned that the Belarusian State Archive of Scientific and Technical Documentation stores documents on the history of the development of science, technology, and architecture in Belarus. The schoolchildren also visited the archival storage facility, where they were told about the peculiarities of temperature and humidity conditions for storing documents.

In the department of information and use of documents, category I archivist E.V. Shkut made a report on the October Revolution. Ekaterina Vasilyevna emphasized the importance of this event in the history of Belarusian statehood.
