«On vacation – to the archives»

On November 1, 2023, as part of the «Archives for School» campaign and the Year of Peace and Creation, eleventh-graders from secondary school No.3 in Kobrin visited the Zonal State Archives in Kobrin.

During a sightseeing tour of the archive, students learned about the history of the creation of the archive, the main activities of the institution and the composition of the stored funds, the specifics of working with archival documents and storing documents. We visited the archives.

In the reading room of the archive, schoolchildren were shown a video lesson «Filing files using an archival-binding machine».

At the end of the meeting, the experts told the students which higher and secondary educational institutions train specialists in the archival industry.
