Unique experience of the Central Laboratory – to help designers

On October 25, a delegation of specialists from the Minskproekt State Enterprise, the Minsk Spadchyna Municipal Unitary Enterprise, and the Minsk City Archive, who were working on the design of the state archive of Minsk, paid a working visit to the Central Laboratory for Ensuring the Preservation of Documents of the National Archival Fund of the Republic of Belarus.

Due to the uniqueness of the work carried out in the laboratory on microbiological control, disinfection, digitization and restoration of archival documents, the designers had many questions during the development of project documentation for the design of a similar laboratory as part of the future archive.

The director of the laboratory V.L. Klyuiko introduced those present to the peculiarities of organizing technological processes in the laboratory, and the heads of the production structural divisions of the laboratory shared their experience in using special furniture, technological equipment, tools and equipment, while identifying their strengths and weaknesses sides.
