Lecture at the Department of Corrections

October 20, 2023 Head of the Publications Department of the National Archives of the Republic of Belarus (NARB), Ph.D. S.V. Kulinok gave a lecture «The Partisan Movement in the Occupied Territory of Belarus during the Great Patriotic War» at the Department of Execution of Punishments of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Belarus.

More than 40 correctional institutions joined the video lecture online. More than 1.7 thousand people listened to the lecture.

The lecturer shared with the event participants little-known facts about the origin and centralization of the partisan movement in the occupied territory of the BSSR, about the organization of communications between the partisans and the «Mainland,» about the largest military operations of the «people’s avengers.» At the presentation shown, documents were presented telling about partisan everyday life: the organization of life and food, the arrangement of the camp, the organization of medical care.

As part of the event, S.V. Kulinok handed over to the Department of Execution of Punishments three copies of the popular science publication of the joint project of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Belarus and BelTA «Archives. Nothing but the truth».
