The State Archive of the Minsk Region was visited on an excursion by students of the MSLU branch “Linguistic and Humanitarian College”

On October 20, 2023, as part of the republican action “Archives to School”, an excursion was held in the State Archive of the Minsk Region for students of the MSLU branch “Linguistic and Humanitarian College” undergoing internship at the archive.

During the sightseeing tour, the children were told about the history of the archive, the main directions of its activities, and the composition of the documents. Students learned about the importance of preserving documents as the historical and cultural written heritage of the state.

The guys visited the archives, where they learned about the conditions for storing documents, and some materials from the collection of personal funds were demonstrated. At the end of the excursion, students got acquainted with the work of the digitization, restoration and binding department.

Before the start of the practice, students were given an introductory safety briefing.
