On October 6, 2023, a ceremonial event dedicated to Archivist Day and a scientific and practical conference «Archives – an institute of historical memory» took place.
During the solemn event dedicated to Archivist Day, the congratulations of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Belarus R.A.Golovchenko were voiced by the head of the office management and protocol work of the Office of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus N.V.Shastilovskaya.
Congratulations on behalf of the Minister of Justice of the Republic of Belarus S.N. Khomenko were voiced by Deputy Minister of Justice O.N.Kot, who presented the archivists with awards from the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Belarus.
Director of the Department of Archives and Records Management O.L.Voinov congratulated Belarusian archivists on their professional holiday.
The head of the archival service presented awards from the Department of Archives and Records Management. 14 workers of republican, regional and zonal state archives were awarded.
The Head of the Federal Archival Agency A.N. Artizov congratulated the workers of the archival industry of Belarus on their professional holidays on behalf of Russian archivists.
The State Museum of the History of the Great Patriotic War hosted a scientific and practical conference «Archives – an institute of historical memory».
The conference was opened by the director of the Department of Archives and Records Management O.L.Voinov.

– chief specialist of the Russian State Archive of Economics V.V.Kondrashin with a report «Promising topics for documentary coverage of the socio-economic history of Russia and the Republic of Belarus»;
– Head of the Publications Department of the National Archives of the Republic of Belarus S.V.Kulinok with a report «Joint publishing activities of the National Archives of the Republic of Belarus and archival institutions of Russia in the 21st century: achievements and prospects»;
– Director of the Russian State Historical Archive S.V.Shtukova with a report «Activities of the Central State Historical Archive in Leningrad under extreme conditions of the siege»;
– Director of the All-Russian Research Institute of Documentation and Archival Affairs P.A.Kung with a report «Prospects for acquiring electronic scientific, technical and film-photo-phonological documents in the Archive Fund of the Russian Federation: problems and solutions»;
– Leading researcher at the Belarusian Scientific Research Institute of Documentation and Archival Affairs M.F.Shumeiko with a report «Interaction of archives, museums and libraries in preserving the social memory of mankind».
The results of the conference were summed up by the director of the Department of Archives and Records Management O.L.Voinov.
On October 6, 2023, as part of the visit of the delegation of the Federal Archival Agency of the Russian Federation, the heads of the archival services of the Republic of Belarus and the Russian Federation O.L.Voinov and A.N.Artizov, as well as members of the delegations of Belarus and Russia laid flowers at Stella «Minsk is a city of heroes».
