Participation of employees of the institution «Belarusian State Archive of Film, Photo and Sound Documents» in the work of the II International Scientific Conference «Agriculture of Belarus through the prism of scientific research»

On September 29, 2023, employees of the Belarusian State Archive of Film, Photo and Sound Documents – leading archivists of the department for the use of documents and information M.V.Garelik and E.I.Tretyak, as well as the head of the department for ensuring the safety of documents and funds K.A.Efremova took part in the work of the II International Scientific conference «Agriculture of Belarus through the prism of scientific research», held at the state institution «Belarusian Agricultural Library named after. I.S.Lupinovich of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus» together with the Institute of History of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus and the Scientific Council on Book Culture, Book Publishing and Libraries of the International Association of Academic Science.

During the work of the sections, leading archivists of the department for the use of documents and information E.I.Tretyak and M.V.Garelik made reports: «Forgotten agricultural crops (kok-sagyz): rubber growing in the BSSR based on materials from the Belarusian State Archive of Film, Photo and Sound Documents» and «Fund Documents BGAKFFD about A.M. Bogomolov: history in photographic documents and newsreels». Their speeches were accompanied by presentations and demonstrations of fragments of film documents from the archives. The report of the leading archivist E.I. Tretyak «Forgotten agricultural crops (kok-sagyz): rubber growing in the BSSR based on materials from the Belarusian State Archive of Film, Photo and Sound Documents» was published in a collection of conference articles.

During the conference, an exhibition of photo albums from the collections of the Belarusian State Archive of Film, Photo and Sound Documents was presented. K.A. Efremova, head of the department for ensuring the safety of documents and funds, introduced visitors to the exhibition with the contents of the original albums: «Photo collection of the pre-war period«, «Minsk Tractor Plant», «II Gomel Regional Agricultural Exhibition 1951». The exhibition of photo albums aroused genuine interest among conference participants.
