About conducting an excursion for 2nd grade students State Educational Institution «Gymnasium No.1 of Dzerzhinsk»
On September 27 and 28, as part of the events for the Year of Peace and Creation, the «Archives to School» event and on the eve of Archivist Day, an excursion was held for students and teachers of Gymnasium No.1 in Dzerzhinsk.
Leading archivist of the department of State accounting and scientific reference apparatus Olga Fedorovna Chernenko conducted a tour of the archive’s reading room, technical control and digitization departments, demonstrated the exhibition «The Difficult Path to Victory» and «Architecture of Belarus: from Ruins to Revival», giving a very accessible and interesting story children about what an archive is, about the types of documents – on film media, magnetic tape, gramophone records, audio and video cassettes with visual demonstration, about methods of checking and restoring them.
An animated film from the archives of «Kvaka-zadavaka» (film film «Belarusfilm», 1975) was shown in the cinema hall.
