About the participation of S.V. Kulinka at the round table on genocide
At the initiative of the Scientific and Practical Center for Problems of Strengthening Law and Order of the General Prosecutor’s Office of the Republic of Belarus and the Belarusian Republican Union of Lawyers, a scientific and practical round table “Genocide of the civilian population of the BSSR during the Great Patriotic War and the post-war period” was held in Minsk.
The event was attended by representatives of government bodies and organizations, researchers, as well as students of the Faculty of Law of the Belarusian State Economic University.
Head of the Publications Department of the National Archives of the Republic of Belarus, Ph.D. S.V. Kulinok presented a report on the topic “Punitive operation “Richert” (“Winter Forest”).” At the beginning of his speech, the speaker touched upon the issue of the terminological definition of the concept of “punitive operation” in Russian and German historiography, and then, based on a wide range of documentary sources from the archives of Belarus, Russia, Germany and the USA, he spoke about the punitive operation “Winter Forest” carried out by the Nazis.
