On September 18, in the Vitebsk Regional Library named after V.I. Lenin, a round table meeting “The Power of the People is in Adzinism” was held for the Day of National Unity, in which employees of the State Archive of the Vitebsk Region took part

On September 18, employees of the State Archive E.M. Bondareva, K.V. Bogush and T.V. Buevich took part in a round table meeting «Сіла народа – у адзінстве».

Buevich T.V., Deputy Director of the State Archive of the Vitebsk Region, gave a lecture at a round table meeting on the administrative-territorial division of the regions of Western Belarus annexed to the BSSR in 1939, on the change in this division in 1944 – 1960, on the date of entry western regions into the Vitebsk region, as well as about the storage locations of archival documents of these regions for different periods of time.

During the speech, a diagram of the administrative-territorial division of the BSSR in 1939 – 1941, 1944 – 1960 was presented. The article describes the modern administrative-territorial division of the western part of the Vitebsk region. Information was announced about the archives that store documents about the history of Western Belarus joining the BSSR in 1939, and about the development of the western regions of the republic.

It also talks about the creation of a system of Soviet authorities in the annexed territory of Western Belarus in 1940.
