On September 15, 2023, the institution «Belarusian State Archive of Scientific and Technical Documentation» held an event dedicated to the national holiday «National Unity Day», established by Decree of the President of the Republic of Belarus dated June 7, 2021 No. 206.

The archivist of the department of information and use of documents N.A.Gornostaev made a report that examined the key historical events that contributed to the establishment of the Republic of Belarus as a sovereign and independent country.

In September 1939, one of the most significant events in our history took place – the torn Belarusian people became united again. In his speech, Gornostaev N.A. emphasized the importance of National Unity Day for the Belarusian people, as it is another reminder of the self-sufficiency and inviolability of the Belarusian nation and its statehood, and forms a sense of belonging to the country and its destiny in every citizen.
