On the eve of the Knowledge Day, employees of the State Archives of the Vitebsk Region took part in the jury of the competition of author’s book illustrations «Drawing the magical world of Hottabych»
On the eve of the Knowledge Day, employees of the State Archives of the Vitebsk Region took part in the jury of the competition of author’s book illustrations «Drawing the Magical World of Hottabych».
The competition is held by the Vitebsk Regional Library named after V.I.Lenin with the informational support of the Editorial Board of the Vitebsk city newspapers «Vitbichi» and «Vecherniy Vitebsk».
It is dedicated to the 120th anniversary of the birth of the writer Lazar Lagin, a native of the city of Vitebsk, and the 85th anniversary of the first edition of the magical fairy tale «Old Man Hottabych».
First, the competitive works will be exhibited at the Day of Belarusian Literature in Gorodok on September 2-3, 2023, and then they will be presented in the library.
Summing up and solemn awarding will take place on September 14, as part of the celebration of the Day of Libraries in Belarus.
