On the creation of the Klimovichi Museum of Local Lore

Today, the regional museum of local history is an institution that simultaneously acts as a socio-cultural institute, research and cultural and educational center in the field of local history.

In the archival fund of the Mogilev Regional Executive Committee in the institution “The State Archive of the Mogilev Region” there is a joint resolution of the Mogilev Regional Committee of the CPB (b) and the executive committee of the Mogilev Regional Council of Workers’ Deputies “On the opening of the local history museum in Klimovichi” dated June 21, 1975 No. 60 / 17-287.

It is worth noting that the bureau of the Central Committee of the CPB (b) decided to establish the museum only on July 11, 1978, and the museum opened its doors to visitors on July 24, 1984.
