On July 6, 2023, the Mikhail Savitsky Art Gallery hosted the grand opening of the open-air photo exhibition «Memory of Nemiga»

The exhibition was prepared as part of a joint project of the Museum of the History of the City of Minsk, the Belarusian State Archive of Scientific and Technical Documentation and the Belarusian State Archive of Film and Photo Documents.

At the opening of the photo exhibition, the head of the Department of Information and Use of Documents of the Belarusian State Archive of Scientific and Technical Documentation, Moseychuk L.I., delivered a welcoming speech. Lyudmila Ivanovna thanked the organizers for the opportunity to popularize archival documents and noted that the archive provided not only photographs for the exhibition, but also photocopies of architectural projects and plans by architect S. S. Musinsky.

The exposition of the exhibition tells about the history of Nemiga – one of the oldest streets in the city. Visitors to the exhibition can see rare photographs from the 1900s-1970s showing Nemiga with its baroque and classicist low-rise buildings, wooden bridges and decking over a dry river that flowed through the center of the street. Photographs from the 1950s and 1970s. reflects the last decades of the life of the old street.

The exhibition is presented to visitors in the courtyard of the Art Gallery of Mikhail Savitsky (Svobody Square, 15) until October 1, 2023.
