Lecture «The First Days of the Great Patriotic War in Official Documents and Diaries of Belarusian Writers»

June 22, 2023, on the Day of National Remembrance of the Victims of the Great Patriotic War and the genocide of the Belarusian people, for the team of the Republican Unitary Enterprise “BelYurObespechenie” by the leading archivist of the Belarusian State Archive-Museum of Literature and Art Natalya Mizon strong> a lecture was given on the topic “The first days of the Great Patriotic War in official documents and diaries of Belarusian writers”.

Colleagues got acquainted with the documents from the funds of the archive-museum, which reflect the events of the first days of the war, were able to feel the feelings of people who were witnesses and victims of a large-scale tragedy of the twentieth century. The conversation was about the fate of the country and the individual, about the crimes of the Nazi invaders and the heroism of ordinary citizens, about the choice of everyone in an extreme situation, about the role of literature and art in wartime.

The documents presented to the audience (printed publications, diaries, creative achievements of artists, writers, musicians, etc.) became a clear evidence of the invincible spirit of the Belarusian people. Those present joined the nationwide minute of silence in memory of all those who brought the Victory closer.
