Excursion for students of secondary school No.5 in Novogrudok

On June 19, 2023, students of secondary school No.5 in Novogrudok became guests of the Zonal State Archives in Novogrudok, for whom the excursion to the archive was the first.

A.S.Zabelinskaya introduced the schoolchildren to the history of the institution, the composition and chronological framework of the stored documents, the procedure for completing the archive, and the features of the archivist profession. In the reading room, students got acquainted with the documents telling about the restoration of the national economy of the Novogrudok region in the first post-war years, which are presented at the poster exhibition «Post-war Novogrudok region: restoration and development». In addition, the guys also acquired practical skills in archiving: they filed files, numbered sheets, and glued envelopes for attachments.

The sightseeing tour ended with a visit to the archives, where the children saw the rich documentary heritage of our region.
