The institution «State Archive of Public Associations of the Mogilev Region» visited the State Educational Institution «Secondary School No.4 of Mogilev»

On June 13, 2023, as part of the «Archives to School» campaign, employees of the State Archive of Public Associations of the Mogilev Region conducted an excursion for 8th grade students of the State Educational Institution «Secondary School No.4 of Mogilev».

Tatyana Shevchik, Head of the Department for the Use of Documents, spoke about the history of creation and the main directions of work of the State Archive of Public Associations of the Mogilev Region.

Leading archivist Svetlana Bryuzgina acquainted schoolchildren with thematic exhibitions of documents, spoke about the genocide of the Belarusian people during the Great Patriotic War, about the partisan movement in the Mogilev region.

Svetlana Bartsuleva, Head of the Department for the Preservation of Documents and Funds, conducted a tour of the archive, during which the students visited the archives, learned about the conditions for storing documents, and saw especially valuable archival copies.

The museum exposition «History of the Party Archive» was presented to the guests.

At the end of the tour, the children enjoyed a short course in typing on a mechanical typewriter.
