Childhood Day in the Zonal State Archive in Kobrin

On June 2, 2023, students of Kobrin secondary school No.6 visited the Zonal State Archive in Kobrin as part of the «Archives for School» campaign, the Year of Peace and Creation.

The lesson was dedicated to the International Children’s Day. The archive staff told the children about the history of the formation of this holiday, showed archival documents testifying to the creation and activities of orphanages, patronage, commissions to combat child homelessness and neglect in Berezovsky, Divinsky, Kobrinsky, Pruzhany, Ruzhansky and Shereshevsky districts of the Brest region in the post-war period . The children were presented with the exhibition «Shelter for children of war», prepared for this holiday.

As part of the event, a tour of the archive was held, which traditionally included a brief history of the creation of the archive, a visit to the archive and information about the main activities of the archive.
