On May 24, 2023, the thematic guest room «ARCHIVED: History of Vitebsk region in faces» was held

The Main Department of Justice of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee together with the Vitebsk Regional Organization of the Belarusian Professional Union of Employees of State and Other Institutions, with the participation of the State Archives of the Vitebsk Region and the Vitebsk Regional Library named after V.I.Lenin glorified Vitebsk region. Many of them are holders of funds of personal origin stored in the institution «State Archive of the Vitebsk Region».

The event was organized as part of the Year of Peace and Creation and in honor of the 85th anniversary of the formation of the Vitebsk Region.

The hall was attended by honored guests, speakers and people who were lucky enough to work together with the famous natives of Vitebsk region, to be their followers; as well as – state employees, trade union activists, workers in the field of education, science, culture, archivists, students, schoolchildren.

An asteroid discovered in 2009 by a student of Vladimir Aleksandrovich, Vitaly Nevsky, is named after him. In 2020, Vladimir Aleksandrovich was awarded the Order of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences «First among equals»
