The State Archives of the Gomel Region took part in the preparation of the exhibition Conveyor of Death. Soviet prisoner of war camps in occupied Gomel

On May 7, 2023, the opening of the exhibition «Conveyor of death. Camps of Soviet prisoners of war in occupied Gomel», timed to coincide with the 78th anniversary of the Great Victory of the USSR over Nazi Germany.

The Prosecutor’s Office of the Gomel Region, the Gomel Palace and Park Ensemble, the State Archives of the Gomel Region, the Gomel Regional Museum of Military Glory took part in preparing the exhibition.

The exhibition presents photo-documentary materials and material evidence from the personal files of Ostarbeiters stored in the State Archives of the Gomel Region, items from the funds of the city’s museums, photographs from the collection of the Gomel historian Yuri Pankov and other artifacts highlighting the tragedy of prisoners of war during the Great Patriotic War.
