Meeting of the delegation of the State Committee of the Republic of Tatarstan on archives

On April 12, 2023, on the basis of the National Archives of the Republic of Belarus, a meeting of the delegation of the State Committee of the Republic of Tatarstan on Archival Affairs was held and a round table was held on the development of cooperation between the archival institutions of the Republic of Belarus and the Republic of Tatarstan.

The round table was attended by: Chairman of the State Committee of the Republic of Tatarstan on Archives Gulnara Zakarievna Gabdrakhmanova, Director of the State Budgetary Institution «State Archives of the Republic of Tatarstan» Bakhtiyar Railevich Fakhrutdinov, Director of the Department for Archives and Records Management of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Belarus Oleg Leonidovich Voinov, Deputy Director of the Department for Archives Aleksey Evgenievich Tsvetkov, Head of the International Cooperation Department of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Belarus Alexander Evgenievich Basalyga, Director of the National Archives of the Republic of Belarus Andrei Konstantinovich Demyanuk. The event was also attended by deputy directors and heads of structural divisions of the National Archives of the Republic of Belarus.

O. L. Voinov in his speech spoke about the structure of the archival industry of the Republic of Belarus, the main areas of activity and development prospects. GZ Gabdrakhmanova made a report on the development of the archive service of the Republic of Tatarstan at the present stage, paying special attention to strengthening the material and technical base, digitalization issues, and the implementation of innovative projects in the industry. During the work of the round table, Deputy Director of the National Archives of the Republic of Belarus E.A. Stukanova made a presentation on the activities of the National Archives.

As part of the professional meeting, the signing of the Memorandum of Cooperation between the State Institution «National Archive of the Republic of Belarus» and the State Budgetary Institution «State Archive of the Republic of Tatarstan» was also held.

At the end of the round table, an excursion was held for the participants. The guests visited the book museum of the National Library of Belarus, as well as the reading room and archives of the National Archives of the Republic of Belarus, got acquainted with the composition of the stored documents and the features of ensuring their safety.
