About holding an information hour and an excursion in the institution «Zonal State Archive in Zhlobin»

As part of the action «Archives for School» and «School of Active Citizen» in the Year of Peace and Creation, on April 11, 2023, an information hour and an excursion on two important topics «Remembrance Day for the Liberation of Prisoners» were held on the basis of the «Zonal State Archive in Zhlobin» «Nazi concentration camps» and «Pride for Belarus. Culture of the Belarusian people: traditions, heritage, modernity» with students of the educational institution «Zhlobin State Technological College».

During the thematic lesson and excursion, the students of the technical school got acquainted with archival documents from the personal fund of Gennady Parkhomenko – a juvenile prisoner of the Ozarichi concentration camp, local historian, poet, craftsman, author of the books Ozarichi – my pain, Childhood, scorched by war, About Zhlobin , fellow countrymen and not only.

At the end of the meeting, they got acquainted with the documents of the Extraordinary State Commission for the Establishment and Investigation of the Atrocities of the Nazi Invaders and Their Accomplices and the Damage Caused by Them, transferred from the State Archive of the Russian Federation, concerning this topic.
