The website of the National Historical Archives of Belarus hosts a virtual exhibition «New moon over Svislach»
As part of the events of the Year of Peace and Creation proclaimed in the Republic of Belarus, the National Historical Archive of Belarus prepared and posted on the website of the archive a virtual exhibition «New moon over Svislach», dedicated to the historical and cultural heritage of the Muslim Tatars of Minsk and the Minsk region.
The exhibition presents old plans with the designation of mosques and other objects associated with the Tatar community of Minsk, seals that were used to certify documents of Minsk imams, documents related to the construction and repair of mosques in the Minsk province, a Muslim register of births, which was probably kept in the Novogrudok jamia, photographs of Minsk Tatars who studied or took exams in educational institutions of Minsk at the beginning of the 20th century. and etc.
