On holding a joint meeting of labor collectives of the National Historical Archives of Belarus and the Belarusian Research Institute of Documentation and Archiving

On April 3, 2023, a joint meeting of the labor collectives of the National Historical Archive of Belarus and the Belarusian Research Institute of Documentation and Archiving was held in the conference hall of the NIA of Belarus. It was devoted to discussing the message of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Belarus «On the state of constitutional legality in the Republic of Belarus» and informing the labor collectives of the NIA of Belarus and BelNIIDAD about the state holiday – the Day of Unity of the Peoples of Belarus and Russia, which is celebrated on April 2, as well as the current state of Belarusian-Russian relations .

At the meeting, the report «Constitutional legality as a factor in the stabilization and development of the Republic of Belarus» was made by the Deputy Director of BelNIIDAD for Research S.S. Mishuk. The report noted that the amendments and additions to the Constitution of the Republic of Belarus adopted at the republican referendum on February 27, 2022 fix a new stage in the development of the Belarusian statehood and outline the ways for its further development, and new approaches to the functioning of public authorities and socio-political institutions, constitutional fixing the duty of citizens to preserve the historical memory of the heroic past of the Belarusian people is the basis for the formation of a constitutionally oriented legal consciousness of the individual and the most important guideline of state policy. Also S.S. Mishuk, in connection with the Day of Unity of the Peoples of Belarus and Russia, informed the labor collectives about the current state of Belarusian-Russian relations.
