On the meeting of archivists of the institution «State Archive of Public Associations of the Gomel Region» with students of grades 3-4 of the institution of general secondary education «Gymnasium No. 36 of Gomel named after I.Melezh»
On March 28, 2023, as part of the «Archives for School» campaign, employees of the «State Archive of Public Associations of the Gomel Region» institution conducted a lesson-excursion «Archival World» with students in grades 3-4 of the institution of general secondary education «Gymnasium No. 36 of the city of Gomel named after I.Melezha», accompanied by the head of military-patriotic education Vitaliy Derevyanko.
The children were given a tour of the archive and its repositories, during which they learned about the main areas of its work, the composition and number of stored documents, and were able to get acquainted with the most interesting of them.
During a visit to the reading room of the archive, the schoolchildren were shown an exhibition of archival documents and photographs «Heroes of the Gomel Land», and the archive staff told the children about the rules and procedures for users to work in the reading room of the archive.
At the end of the tour, everyone was able to take pictures in a special photo zone, which in its interior resembles the workplace of a party worker of that time.
