Lecture on the genocide as part of a single day of information at the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Belarus
March 16, within the framework of the republican single day of information on the topic “80 years of the tragedy in Khatyn. Results of the Investigation of the Genocide of the Belarusian People during the Great Patriotic War” at the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Belarus, the head of the Publications Department of the National Archives of the Republic of Belarus, Ph.D. S.V. Kulinok.
He spoke about the main forms and methods of implementing the Nazi policy of genocide in the occupied territory of Belarus: the creation and operation of places of detention, punitive operations, and the destruction of rural settlements. Separately, the lecturer dwelled on the destruction of the village of Khatyn by the invaders and their accomplices.
S.V. Kulinok also spoke about the activities of the archive in introducing into scientific circulation new documentary sources on the history of the occupation regime during the war years and popularizing archival documents (action “Archives for School”, exhibition activities).
