«Archives for school»: an excursion for students of the State Educational Institution «Secondary School No. 18 of Mogilev»

On March 3, 2023, students of the 8th grade of the State Educational Institution «Secondary School No. 18 of Mogilev» visited the institution «State Archive of the Mogilev Region» as part of the «Archives for Schools» campaign.

In the reading room, the archive staff told the children about the history of the archival service in the Mogilev region, the types of activities that archivists perform. They got acquainted with the most interesting documents from archival funds and book products presented at the exhibition.

Then the guys visited the archives and the laboratory for digitizing documents, where they could see with their own eyes how documents are stored and what archivists do to organize the digitization process.
