On February 23, 2023, employees of the State Archive of the Vitebsk region took part in a solemn ceremony of laying flowers and wreaths at the memorial «Liberators of Vitebsk – Soviet soldiers, partisans and underground workers» («Three Bayonets») on Victory Square, held in honor of the Day of Defenders of the Fatherland and the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus.

This year the holiday has a special significance – November 28 will mark the 105th anniversary of the formation of the Armed Forces of the Republic.

Today, the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus continue to be a key element of strategic deterrence, ensuring the prevention of the threat of the use of military force against our country.
