Visit of BGAKFFD by students of the Belarusian State Academy of Arts within the framework of art history practice
On February 17, 2023, 4th-year students of the Belarusian State Academy of Arts studying in the direction of «Organization of film and television production» of the specialty «Art history» visited the institution «Belarusian State Archive of Film and Photo Documents» as part of art history practice.
The archive staff familiarized the students with the specifics of the work of the archive with audiovisual documents in terms of the formation of the National Archival Fund, the organization of the scientific reference apparatus, the preservation, verification of the technical condition and restoration of documents, the popularization of documents, the work of the reading room of the archive and the user AIS – an automated system for searching archival documents. Particular attention was paid to the issues of ensuring compliance with copyright for archival documents when organizing work with users and third-party organizations.
