The Zonal State Archives in Rechitsa held a lecture at the Rechitsa State Technical College as part of the «Archives for School» campaign

On February 2, on the day of the 80th anniversary of the end of the Battle of Stalingrad, within the framework of the republican action «Archives for School», employees of the Zonal State Archive in Rechitsa told 1-2 year students of the Rechitsa State Technical College (village of Ozershchina, Rechitsa District) about a participant in the battle – the fund-maker of the archive, military pilot, Hero of the Soviet Union Dmitry Valentika.

Young people learned in detail about the life path of Dmitry Danilovich, his many years of service in the Armed Forces of the USSR and participation in three wars (Soviet-Finnish, Great Patriotic War and Soviet-Japanese) and got acquainted with the original documents from the fund of Dmitry Valentik – autobiography, certificates for awards, honorary diploma, photographs, etc.
