Excursion to the State Archive of the Vitebsk Region for 7th grade students of the State Educational Institution «Secondary School No. 7 of Vitebsk»

On January 31, in the institution «State Archives of the Vitebsk Region» within the framework of the action «Archives for School» and events dedicated to the Year of Peace and Creation, an excursion was held for 7th grade students of the State Educational Institution «Secondary School No. 7 of Vitebsk».

During the event, the chief custodian of funds, candidate of historical sciences, Konstantin Karpekin told the students about the history of the archive, the composition and features of storing documents.

Elena Bondareva, Head of the IPS Department, presented the exhibition «Heraldic Wreath of the Vitebsk Region» to the attention of the visitors. The students also visited the reading room of the archive, where they got acquainted with the exhibition of documents «Front-line album: the Great Patriotic War through the camera lens.»
