Preserving the past while touching the future

For a number of years, the state institution “Central Laboratory for the Preservation of Documents of the National Archival Fund of the Republic of Belarus” has been successfully cooperating with various scientific institutions. In particular, a certain contribution to the development of the area of microbiological research was made by researchers from the Institute of Microbiology of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus. Together with the laboratory specialists, the researchers of BelNIIDAD are testing their scientific developments at our base.

The study and evaluation of world innovative developments in archiving allowed the laboratory to fully switch to the production of microphotocopies of the insurance fund of especially valuable documents using electronic micrographic technologies of the Zeutshel OP-500 COM system. The total annual economic effect of the innovation, in comparison with the previously used classical microfilming, amounted to more than 18 thousand rubles.

On the eve of the celebration of the Day of Belarusian Science, the National Exhibition Center “BelExpo” hosts the exhibition “Intellectual Belarus”.

The staff of the laboratory did not stand aside from such a landmark event in the scientific field, who, within the framework of the exhibition, got acquainted with new developments and presentations of scientific and technical achievements that domestic science has achieved recently.

The laboratory staff received not only positive emotions from the exhibition, but also a creative message for a deeper immersion in research work in their field of competence.
