As part of the information day, on January 19, 2023, a meeting of archive workers was held in the reading room of the State Archives of the Gomel Region (hereinafter referred to as the GAG).

In his report, the director of the GAGom Sushchevich A.N. brought to the attention of the team information about the events that took place in the country and abroad from January 7 to 13, 2023.

Andrei Nikolaevich noted that on January 9, President of the Republic of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko signed Decree No. 3 «On measures to ensure timely payment of wages». The procedure for the enforcement of the demand for repayment of arrears in the payment of wages has also been determined. At the same time, the protection of the interests of citizens will be carried out without involving them in this process.

Also, the director of the archive in his report said that the Head of State Alexander Lukashenko signed a decree and order, according to which media and cultural workers were awarded medals and Gratitude of the President of the Republic of Belarus. Eight media workers, as well as five cultural workers were awarded Francysk Skaryna medals with the President’s Gratitude.

In addition, Andrei Nikolayevich said that a competition for state awards in 2024 has been announced in Belarus.

The State Prize of the Republic of Belarus is evidence of the highest recognition of the merits of scientists and technicians, literature, art and architecture before society and the state. The works of the participants are accepted for consideration by the committee until October 1, 2023.
