On the opening of the exhibition «Historical memory – the connection of times and generations» and the holding by employees of the institution «Zonal State Archive in Orsha»

On November 15, 2022, on the basis of the Kokhanovsk city-settlement library-branch No. 2, the grand opening of the exhibition of archival documents «Historical memory – the connection of times and generations», prepared by employees of the Zonal State Archives in Orsha, took place. The opening was attended by representatives of local authorities, the state institution of culture «Tolochinskaya centralized library system», the Kokhanovsky city-settlement House of Culture, employees of the editorial office of the newspaper «Nasha Talachynshchyna» and others.

As part of the «Archives for School» campaign, the head of the department for the use of documents of the State Archives in Orsha, Nikulina M.A. and local historian N.S. Petrushenko conducted a lesson on the topic «Historical memory – the connection of times and generations» for students of the 10th grade of the state educational institution «Kokhanovskaya secondary school named after. I.P. Kozhar of the Tolochin District» and for students of the educational institution «Kokhanovsky State Lyceum of Agricultural Production».

Students got acquainted with a documentary exhibition of archival documents reflecting the history of the Kokhanovsky region since the formation of Soviet power.

In addition, the exhibition of archival documents «Historical memory – the connection of times and generations» was visited by residents of the settlement. Kokhanovo, Tolochin district, who are interested in the history and culture of their native land.
