The meeting was also attended by: Second Secretary of the Embassy of the Republic of Armenia in the Republic of Belarus N.O.Tiraturyan, Attaché – A.S.Melkumyan, General Director of the Foundation for the Development and Support of Armenian Studies «ANIV» A.V.Khechoyan.

From the Belarusian side: First Deputy Director of the Department for Archives and Records Management of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Belarus O.A.Ledovskaya, Director of the National Archives of the Republic of Belarus A.K.Demyanuk, Deputy Director of the National Archives of the Republic of Belarus E.A.Stukanova.

During the conversation, Olga Ledovskaya spoke about the structure of the archival service of Belarus and the main directions of its activities, emphasizing the importance of international cooperation and friendly relations established with the Republic of Armenia.

A.K. Demyanuk spoke about the main areas of work of the National Archives of the Republic of Belarus, projects in which the archive is currently involved. Particular attention was paid to the project «Partisans of Belarus».

Mr. R.M.Khumaryan in his speech stressed the importance of the issues of preserving historical memory and, especially, historical truth, which are given great attention both in Armenia and Belarus.

During the meeting, the prospects for cooperation were discussed, in particular, joint projects of the National Archives of the Republic of Belarus and the Foundation for the Development and Support of Armenian Studies «ANIV».

At the end of the meeting, a tour of the National Archives was organized, during which the guests got acquainted with the documents on the participation of Armenians in the partisan movement on the territory of Belarus during the Great Patriotic War, the most interesting documents from the funds of personal origin, etc.
