Meeting with students of school N11 in Minsk at the National Archives of the Republic of Belarus

On November 4, 2022, as part of the “Archives for School” campaign and events dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the archival industry of Belarus, a meeting was held at the National Archives of the Republic of Belarus with 6th grade students of secondary school No. 11 in Minsk.

The children were taken on a tour of the archives. The head of the department of funds of personal origin I.V. Dorogush spoke about the history of the National Archives of the Republic of Belarus, about the composition and features of storing documents, the work of the archive in the field of publication and exhibition activities. During the excursion, the students got acquainted with the banner exhibition “Archival Service of Belarus: 100 years together with the country (1922-2022)”, as well as with a photo-documentary exhibition dedicated to the 120th anniversary of the birth of Orekhvo Nikolai Semenovich, state and party leader, historian , First Secretary of the Central Committee of the LKSMB, a participant in the revolutionary movement in Western Belarus, Honored Worker of Culture of the BSSR.

The students visited the archives of the foundations of partisan formations and foundations of personal origin.
