The State Archives of the Minsk Region as part of the «Archives for School» campaign in the Year of Historical Memory was visited by 2nd year students of the FEM (Faculty of Biological Medicine) of the Moscow State Institute of Economics named after. HELL. Sakharova BSU

On October 19, 2022, as part of the «Archives for School» campaign, 2nd year students of the FEM (Faculty of Biological Medicine) of the Moscow State Institute of Power Engineering named after A.I.Sakharov Belarusian State University visited the State Archive of the Minsk Region in order to get acquainted with the archive, its main areas of activity and the composition of the stored documents.

For future biologists, a sightseeing tour of the institution was conducted with a visit to the reading room and archives, during which the guys got acquainted with the history of the creation of the archive, the composition and features of storing documents, and the main areas of work of the departments.

Employees of the Department for the Use and Publication of Documents presented a historical and documentary banner exhibition «Genocide of civilians in the Minsk region during the Great Patriotic War. 1941-1945», reflecting the policy of the Nazis during the years of the German occupation of the Minsk region.

Students had an excellent opportunity to get acquainted with archival documents, the most important evidence of true historical facts.
