Round table of Belarusian and Russian historians in Mogilev

On 6 July 2022, the A.A. Kuleshov Mogilev State University hosted a round table on the theme “Historians of Belarus and Russia: Sides of Historical Cooperation”.

The opening speech was made by the rector of the Mogilev State University, Doctor of History, Professor Denis Duk, the chairman of the Russian Historical Society Board, Candidate of History Konstantin Mogilevsky, and the chairman of the Smolensk branch of the Russian Historical Society, Doctor of History, Professor, Head of the Russian History Department of Smolensk State University Evgeny Kodin. The director of the State Archives of Mogilev Region, Sergei Frolov and vice-rectors of higher educational institutions of Mogilev took part in the round table.

The participants discussed the introduction of modern technologies to preserve the national heritage of the Republic of Belarus and the Russian Federation, the interaction and relationship between the higher educational institutions, and the prospects of joint projects. They exchanged experience in digitization of archival documents of the two countries.
