The State Archives of Grodno Region opened an exhibition «Human Fates. In Memory of the Victims of Fascism»

As part of the Year of Historical Memory, the State Archives of Grodno Region opened an exhibition «Human Fates. In Memory of the Victims of Fascism», dedicated to the Day of National Remembrance of Victims of the Great Patriotic War and the Genocide of the Belarusian People.

The exhibition shows documentary materials from the archive collections, which tell about the tragedy of the civilian population during the Great Patriotic War. These are data on punitive operations against civilians, arrests and shootings, summaries and lists of Soviet citizens tortured and executed by the Nazi invaders and those sent for forced labor in Germany, labor cards and registers, identity cards, medical records, testimonies concerning the crimes of Nazi invaders in the Grodno region.

The exhibited archival materials give the opportunity to touch on reliable historical facts and authentic documents and open important pages in the history of the Great Patriotic War.
