Archives for School. Meetings at the Belarusian State Archives-Museum of Literature and Art

On 2 June 2022, the Belarusian State Archives-Museum of Literature and Art (BGAMLI) was visited by a group of schoolchildren under the custody of the Juvenile Inspection of Zavodsky District Department of Internal Affairs in Minsk.

The students were accompanied by the district inspector, police lieutenant Elena Kupraenok and the inspection specialist Zhanna Tolyarenok. The event was held as part of the program for organizing leisure activities for minors.

During the meeting the Director of the Archives-Museum Anna Zapartyko told about the profession of archivist and the peculiarities of work with historical documents, about the diversity of Belarusian archives and the activities of BGAMLI in particular. Leading researcher Viktor Zhibul led an excursion to the new exhibition “I’m Calling You for Victory…”. The visitors had an opportunity to get acquainted with wartime periodicals as well as to demonstrate their musical abilities on the piano, which belonged to Honored Artist of Belarus Viktor Skorobogatov.
