To the 77th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War

On 5 May 2022, in the framework of the events dedicated to the 77th anniversary of Victory of the Soviet people in the Great Patriotic War and the national campaign “Belarus Remembers. We Remember Everyone”, employees of the National Historical Archives of Belarus and the Belarusian Research Institute of Records Management and Archival Studies visited the sites of military burials at the Calvary cemetery in Minsk, laid flowers and paid tribute to the memory of the fallen defenders of the Fatherland.

More than 200 Soviet soldiers who died in the battles against the Nazi invaders in 1941 during the defense of Minsk and in 1944 during its liberation or died of wounds in hospitals are buried in 142 single and mass graves at the Calvary cemetery.
