The Central Laboratory for Microfilming and Restoration of Documents of the National Archival Fonds of the Republic of Belarus held a tour for first-year students of the Mining and Engineering Ecology Department of the Belarusian National Technical University

On 14 April 2022, as part of the Archives for School campaign in the Year of Historical Memory, the Central Laboratory for Microfilming and Restoration of Documents of the National Archival Fonds of the Republic of Belarus held an excursion for first year students of the Mining and Engineering Ecology Department of the Belarusian National Technical University.

The laboratory staff introduced the students to all stages of the technological process of microbiological examination, disinfection, restoration, binding and digitization of archival documents.

The students were able to clearly see that the work to preserve and restore the original appearance of the archival document requires painstaking and meticulous attitude, great experience and responsibility of the unique specialists, who make their contribution to preserving the historical heritage of the Belarusian people.
