Director of the Belarusian State Archives of Scientific and Technical Documentation A. M. Zapartyko conducted an excursion for students of the Minsk State College of Architecture and Construction
On 13 April 2022, Director of the Belarusian State Archives of Scientific and Technical Documentation A. M. Zapartyko conducted an excursion for students of the branch of the Belarusian National Technical University “Minsk State College of Architecture and Construction”.
The excursion participants learned about the history of the Belarusian State Archives of Scientific and Technical Documentation, its structure, areas of activity, types of documents and possibilities to search for documents.
The students were able to see unique archival collections held in Fond No. 6 “Collection of plans and diagrams of Belarusian cities” and Fond No. 23 “Collection of designs of bridges, civil structures and earthen roads of the Western Railway”. Documents from Fond No. 10 aroused keen interest among the visitors: architectural project “National Library of Belarus” and a selection of project documentation connected with the construction of the Architectural and Construction Technical School in Minsk.
The guests got acquainted with the photos illustrating the history of construction of the Dinamo stadium, the reconstruction of the railway station and the station square, the construction of the Nemiga street in Minsk.
Of particular interest was a tour of the archive repository. Many questions were asked about the features of temperature and time storage of documents.
