The State Archives of Minsk Region has posted a selection of documents “Partizansky District of Minsk is 45 Years Old”
A selection of documentary materials “Partizansky District of Minsk is 45 Years Old” has been prepared and posted on the website of the State Archives of Minsk Region.
The Partizansky district of Minsk was formed by the Decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the BSSR on April 8, 1977.
Currently, it is territorially the largest district of the city, with an area of 64.6 sq. km, and at the same time the most sparsely populated. It is also called the green lungs of Minsk, because there are 75 square meters of landscape and recreational area for every resident.
The attractions of the Partizansky district include Victory Square, the Central Children’s Park named after Maxim Gorky and the Belarus State Circus. The State Archives of Minsk Region is also located in this district.
