The exhibition of awards “For Service to the Country and the People” was attended by participants of the seminar for representatives of public monitoring commissions exercising control over bodies and institutions executing punishments and other measures of criminal liability

On 31 March 2022, the Ministry of Justice held a seminar for representatives of the Republican Public Monitoring Commission at the Ministry of Justice, regional and Minsk City public monitoring commissions at the main departments of justice of the regional executive committees and the Minsk City Executive Committee, which monitor the bodies and institutions executing punishment and other measures of criminal liability.

The participants of the seminar visited the exhibition of awards “For Service to the Country and the People” prepared by the Department for Archives and Records Management of the Ministry of Justice. The exhibition features about 200 medals, badges and insignia of ministries, departments, state bodies and organizations of the Republic of Belarus.

M. M. Elinskaya, Leading Expert of the Organizational Work, Information and Document Use at the Department for Archives and Records Management, told about the functions and tasks of the Heraldic Council under the President of the Republic of Belarus, detailed the structure of the exhibition and the exhibits on display, and answered questions from the participants of the seminar regarding the history and development of the heraldic symbols.
