The Ministry of Justice hosted a solemn event to present passports to secondary school students in Minsk

On 15 March, the Ministry of Justice hosted a solemn event to present passports to students of secondary schools in Minsk.

The young people received passports, as well as copies of the Constitution of the Republic of Belarus and memorable souvenirs from the hands of the Minister of Justice S. N. Khomenko and Chairman of the Permanent Commission on National Security of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly O. A. Belokonev.

The students visited the exhibition of awards “For Service to the Country and the People”, prepared by the Department for Archives and Records Management on the occasion of the Constitution Day of the Republic of Belarus. The exhibition features about 200 medals, badges and insignia of ministries, departments, state bodies and organizations of the Republic of Belarus.

A. E. Tsvetkov, Deputy Director of the Department for Archives and Records Management, addressed the young people with a welcoming speech, pointing out the exceptional importance of official heraldic symbols for society and the state. M. M. Yelinskaya, Leading Expert of the Organizational Work, Information and Use of Documents at the Department, spoke about the origin of heraldic symbols and decorations, the structure of the exhibition and the exhibits on display, and answered questions from the students.
