The official page of the National Historical Archives of Belarus on YouTube posted a video dedicated to the 125th anniversary of the Minsk City Telephone Network, filmed on the archive documents. It is believed that the installation of telephones of Minsk began in 1890. However, in fact, the first telephone sets and the first telephone line appeared in the city much earlier. The National Historical Archives of Belarus keeps a file on the creation of a telephone connection in Minsk between the building of the fire brigade and the town fire-observation tower for the years 1882-1889.
